Evergreen trees; branchlets appressed hairy when young, glabrescent.
Leaves ovate to broadly ovate, 8-12 cm long, 4-6 cm broad, coriaceous, apex acute to obtuse, base cuneate, margins entire, glabrous on both surfaces, with 1 pair lateral veins running thoughout length of leaf; petioles 8-15 cm long.
Fruit ovoid, ca. 1 cm across, glabrous.

台灣 : known only from Lanyu and Lutao.
世界 : Tropical Africa, Madagascar, India, Burma, Indochina, Hainan, throughout Malesia, NE. Australia, and the Solomons.
